What is the core problem you are solving? Why is this a big problem? What made you decide to work on it?

High-volume hiring is extremely broken - it is inefficient, ineffective, and biased. Our mission is to fix what is broken. We believe great hiring processes are centered around quality conversations between candidates and employers and a future where every candidate’s journey starts with a conversation - a future where candidates are considered without bias or archaic artifacts like resumes and cover letters. We also believe diverse teams are better teams. Diverse teams are better positioned to understand their customers, execute, and win their markets. And we believe technology can help provide consistency and eliminate bias. Technology is non-discerning at its core, and can help things move faster and more efficiently, but without the proper guardrails technology can drive negative outcomes - our goal is to help our customers in this journey.

What is your long-term vision? If you truly succeed, what will be different about the world?

Our long-term vision is to become the global leader in ethical AI for recruiting, empowering hiring teams to eliminate the administrative work of running a high-volume, equitable hiring process. Humans will always be at the center of hiring, despite the growing capabilities of AI. Our AI co-pilot helps scale Human time, so hiring teams can focus on meaningful interactions, not manual ones. The quality of conversation with a candidate is and will always be paramount.
