We're building fully automated labs for protein engineering
At Adaptyv, our high-throughput cloud lab enables protein designers to experimentally validate their proteins with the click of a button. We're building advanced molecular biology workflows, assay automation and software infrastructure to make it easy for our users to engineer better proteins. Since the launch of our beta access in June 2024 we've been growing rapidly and are now working with the fastest-moving protein design teams in the world , across tech bio startups, major AI companies and the biggest pharmas.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Software Engineer (Backend) to join our team. You will play a pivotal role developing robust software infrastructure for our automated protein engineering platform.
Own the backend of our products, working alongside the product team
Architect database designs and build data processing pipelines to handle large-scale protein characterization data from our lab
Implement APIs to integrate laboratory instruments and robotics systems with our software stack so that we can run molecular biology workflows with minimal human intervention
Collaborate with scientists, automation engineers, and machine learning researchers to translate biological workflows into scalable software solutions
Demonstrated experience of designing and building production software
Strong experience with Python and its ecosystem
Comfortable with Postgres databases and API design
Nice to have: prior experience with laboratory automation systems and biological data
You are highly motivated to work in a fast-moving startup; enjoy problem solving; and you're able to learn efficiently while building new tech
