We're building fully automated labs for protein engineering
At Adaptyv, our high-throughput cloud lab enables protein designers to experimentally validate their proteins with the click of a button. We're building advanced molecular biology workflows, assay automation and software infrastructure to make it easy for our users to engineer better proteins. Since the launch of our beta access in June 2024 we've been growing rapidly and are now working with the fastest-moving protein design teams in the world , across tech bio startups, major AI companies and the biggest pharmas.
We are looking for a talented Research Associate to join our Biology Team. You will run molecular biology protocols and assays and develop highly automated protein engineering workflows for our Foundry.
Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, DNA assembly, sequencing and protein expression and assaying using our high-throughput protocols
Record experimental parameters and results to enable scaleable, reproducible workflows
Keep track of samples, inventory, reagents to ensure optimal lab operation
Help develop new protocols and assays and automate them in our Foundry in collaboration with the Lab Automation Team
BS, MS in Biology, Biotechnology, Life Science Engineering, Chemical Biology, Chemistry or similar
At least 2 years of hands-on lab work and experience with research and development in molecular biology
Comfortable with Python scripting and data analysis
You are very organized, hands-on, have attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Application deadline
We are reviewing applicants on a rolling basis.
Proteins are the most advanced nanotechnology we know of. At Adaptyv, our mission is to make proteins easier to engineer. We are building technologies that allow protein engineers to design and test new proteins in order to develop new medicines, better enzymes for research and industrial applications or functional materials with novel properties.
We believe that designed proteins will be at the core of the bio-revolution and radically change how we manufacture goods, treat aging & diseases and even how we think about applications such as computation and data storage. We want to unlock that potential and help advance humanity to a post-scarcity future.
