We're building fully automated labs for protein engineering
At Adaptyv, our high-throughput cloud lab enables protein designers to experimentally validate their proteins with the click of a button. We're building advanced molecular biology workflows, assay automation and software infrastructure to make it easy for our users to engineer better proteins. Since the launch of our beta access in June 2024 we've been growing rapidly and are now working with the fastest-moving protein design teams in the world , across tech bio startups, major AI companies and the biggest pharmas.
As a Scientific Account Executive at Adaptyv, you will be a key player in scaling a high-growth startup at the intersection of AI, automation, and life sciences. You’ll own and drive business development , working with leading AI and biotech companies and help them get onboarded to our protein data generation platform.
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role where you’ll be expected to execute, iterate, and drive results quickly. You’ll work closely with our product, biology, and customer success teams , attend industry events, and establish yourself as a trusted expert in AI-driven protein engineering.
What You’ll Do
Develop our end-to-end sales process , from prospecting to closing, helping scale revenue for our data generation products
Develop and expand our customer base , building relationships with scientists, R&D leaders, and executives.
Engage deeply with scientific and technical teams , translating their needs into solutions powered by our platform.
Work with engineering and product teams to scope technical projects and ensure fit with customer workflows.
Refine and improve the sales process , optimizing CRM workflows, sales materials, and outbound strategies.
Negotiate and close deals with companies ranging from techbio startups to the biggest pharma companies
Represent Adaptyv at conferences, networking events, and customer meetings , building a strong presence in the biotech and AI-driven protein engineering space.
What We’re Looking For
Background in life sciences or significant experience working with biotech/pharma R&D teams.
3+ years of experience in sales or business development , ideally in biotech, SaaS, or scientific services
Proven ability to exceed sales goals , consistently ranking as a top performer.
Strong scientific understanding of protein engineering and molecular biology, with the ability to connect technical innovations to business needs.
Sharp analytical and strategic thinking , able to quickly understand technical challenges and articulate their real-world impact.
Highly independent and action-oriented , comfortable operating in fast-paced, unstructured environments where you take ownership and drive results.
Exceptional communicator , skilled at building relationships with both scientists and executive decision-makers.
