Empowering Mass Spec for Biotech and Beyond
Job Title: Microfabrication Engineer (flexible titles depending on experience)
Location: Atlanta
Company Overview:
Andson Biotech’s mission is to make mass spectrometry a tool for everyone. Currently, sample preparation and data analytics bottleneck mass spec workflows and limit them to mostly niche applications. Highly trained personnel can spend hours to weeks getting single data points. DynaCHIP packages advanced microfluidics into an easy-to-use system and drops into existing mass spec workflows to enable 1-second sample prep for 10-100x faster results.
Role Summary:
This position is focused on the 1) scaling up our existing microfabrication processes and 2) developing new microfabrication approaches for our technology road map. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience in cleanrooms and common MEMS workflows including photolithography (SPR 220, SU-8), etching (Wet & Dry), deposition (evaporation, sputtering), and QC/characterization (SEM, TEM, etc.).

Even if you do not fit the role's description perfectly, but you feel that you'd be a good fit, please consider applying. We can't know if we should hire you if we never meet you!
About Andson: (TL;DR video about us: https://youtu.be/wMyAikoQkXE)
Andson Biotech is developing a microfluidic platform enabling rapid sample cleanup for mass spectrometry applications. Mass spectrometry is a gold-standard chemical analysis tool, but it remains limited in utility due to the complex workflows associated with going from raw sample to analysis. Our flagship product, the DynaCHIP, enables simple, on-demand mass spectrometric analysis with easy-to-use interfaces that democratize mass spectrometry from lab to market.
Andson Biotech was spun out of Georgia Tech and is supported by Y Combinator and Merck Digital Sciences Studio. We are a seed-stage startup, so every role has the chance for growth.
