About the role

We’re opening a full-time position in Atrato. Join us in providing a fair & simple credit solution in Mexico and creating an impact on the region.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet our user needs. You will work closely with our Product Team to understand requirements and design scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing web applications and features.
  • Building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Node.js with TypeScript.
  • Developing and maintaining back-end systems using databases with mySQL.
  • Collaborating with UX designers to implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Implementing features that will be used by thousands of our users and operation teams.
  • Implement automated testing to ensure quality and scalability.

We are looking for someone outstanding that has

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in full stack software development.
  • Experience with (mySQL, Express, React, Node.js) or similar web application stacks.
  • Proficiency in front-end development frameworks, specially React with TypeScript.
  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Node.js with TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies such as MySQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

About the interview

  1. Screening - This is a brief video call of up to 20 minutes where we’ll get to know you a bit better. We’ll discuss your background, validate your salary expectations, check your availability, and align on a timeline for the rest of the process. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any initial questions you may have about the role or Atrato.
  2. Technical Challenge - If the screening goes well, you’ll move on to a technical interview that includes a live challenge. This stage is designed to evaluate your problem-solving abilities, technical skills, and how you approach real-world scenarios. You'll work on a task relevant to the role you're applying for, and we’ll discuss your thought process and solutions in real-time.
  3. Manager Interview - In this stage, you will have a more in-depth conversation with the manager or leader of the tech team. This interview focuses on your professional experience, your alignment with the team’s goals, and how your skills and background fit with the challenges we’re working on.
  4. Team Interview - This interview is with the broader tech team. It’s an opportunity for you to meet potential future colleagues and for us to get a sense of how well you would integrate into our team culture. We’ll discuss your working style, interests, and how you collaborate in team environments. You’ll also have the chance to learn more about how we work together at Atrato.
  5. Founders Interview - This is an interview with one of our founders. At this stage, we’re interested in understanding how well you align with the company’s vision and core values. The conversation will focus on your long-term career aspirations, how you envision contributing to Atrato, and your overall fit with our mission.
  6. Offer - If all goes well, we’ll extend a formal offer. We’ll discuss the details of the compensation package, benefits, and any other relevant information to ensure that everything is aligned before moving forward with joining Atrato.
