Founding Systems Software Engineer

Responsibilities

As a Founding System Software Engineer at Azalea Robotics, you will play a crucial role in developing our robotic software infrastructure, with a particular focus on robotics frameworks, visualization, and data collection systems. Based in our main office in Berkeley, CA, you will lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable software architectures that enable efficient data visualization and real-time monitoring and data collection for our robotic platforms. Candidates should have a strong background in robotics software development, ROS2, and data visualization techniques. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain data collection pipelines for robot systems
• Develop and maintain advanced visualization tools and dashboards for robotic data using ROS2
• Optimize ROS2 node communication and data flow for improved system performance
• Collaborate with hardware and algorithm teams to integrate visualization and telemetry systems into robotic platforms
• Develop tools for data analysis and debugging of complex robotic systems
• Mentor and guide junior team members in ROS2 development and visualization techniques
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics software, ROS2, and data visualization technologies

Qualifications

• Work experience with ROS or ROS2 required
• Work experience with data collection pipelines and cloud computing required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative team setting
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Deep understanding of computer networking and cloud computing infrastructure
• Strong data visualization skills
