Founding Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

As a Founding Mechanical Engineer at Azalea Robotics, you will play a crucial role in advancing our system capabilities. Based in our main office in Berkeley, CA, you will lead the mechanical design for our robots. Candidates should have a strong background in mechatronic assembly work, prototyping, and general mechanical design.

Qualifications

• Master's/Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field with relevant work experience OR significant relevant work experience in mechanical engineering
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative team setting
• Strong skills designing, testing, and analyzing electromechanical assemblies
• Expertise in CAD
• Experience with rapid prototyping
• Experience interfacing with fabricators and machine shops

• 1 hr non-technical screen
• 1 hr technical screen with programming exercise
