Overview
Bot MD is a Y Combinator funded startup with the mission of Empowering Doctors around the world. Our core technology, “Bot MD”, is a proprietary medical A.I. chat engine that can be integrated with any hospital and clinical information system and used to power any chat platform (e.g. WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Viber) to help doctors and nurses automate patient engagement and remote monitoring.
We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to help design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth data operations and help deliver data-driven insights that impact decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities
- Design and Build Data Pipelines: Develop and optimize scalable pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
- Manage Databases: Create and maintain both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- ETL Development: Build, manage and monitor ETL processes to ensure reliable data ingestion and transformation
- Cloud Integration: Utilize our AWS cloud infrastructure for data storage and processing.
- Data Security & Optimization: Ensure data security, governance, and optimize system performance.
- Analytics Enablement: (Occasionally) design and maintain BI dashboards, train business users on data tools, and support self-service analytics initiatives.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related fields.
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch)
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, etc.).
- Experience with data pipeline tools like Apache NiFi or AWS Glue.
- Experience with data pipeline monitoring tools such as DBT Metrics, Prometheus+Grafana, AWS CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for data storage and processing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or Scala.
- Team player with great communication skills and a can-do spirit
