Capi was founded by Mitch Riley, Scott Liddle, and Tom Watson. Mitch and Scott were COO/CFO/GC and CRO/CMO at Taptap Send, a remittance unicorn, and have spent two decades between them working in emerging markets. Tom is a third-time founder having founded Hubble and P4SD.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our fast-growing Series A stage fintech. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a knack for problem-solving and an eye for detail. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights including building financial and customer dashboards and communicating key recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

We’re looking for someone with startup experience who is comfortable working with imperfect datasets. The ideal candidate should be well versed in identifying trends and anomalies, cleaning data, distinguishing signal from noise, whilst also having a strong understanding of cause versus correlation in a low volume business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, finance, operations) to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
• Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor financial performance and customer behaviour
• Analyse large datasets and identify meaningful trends that drive business growth
• Develop SQL queries to gather and manipulate data from multiple sources
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data to support business strategies and optimise operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years experience, at least 2 years in-house in data analytics role, ideally in a high-growth startup
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation
• Experience with dashboard tools (i.e. Metabase, Looker, Tableau or similar)
• Solid understanding of data visualisation principles and best practices
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively
• Native-level English proficiency

• We require 3 days a week in the London office (near Old Street Station)
