Capi helps businesses in Africa pay their international suppliers. We’ve raised over $18m from Creandum, Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Firstminute, Janngo, Kima Ventures, and some great angels from Revolut, Checkout, Stripe, Onfido, and Remitly.
Capi was founded by Mitch Riley, Scott Liddle, and Tom Watson. Mitch and Scott were COO/CFO/GC and CRO/CMO at Taptap Send, a remittance unicorn, and have spent two decades between them working in emerging markets. Tom is a third-time founder having founded Hubble and P4SD.
As Executive Assistant to the three co-founders, you will be the linchpin of our dynamic team, responsible for managing complex schedules across time zones, organizing travel, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential information with the utmost discretion. You'll also organize team events and retreats, and be in charge of coordinating office moves. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to streamline operations and enhance productivity of a rapidly growing startup, directly impacting our global mission!
Manage the calendars of three co-founders who are frequently in different time zones, including scheduling meetings and arranging travel (including booking flights, hotels, etc.)
Draft and manage correspondence and communications, as appropriate
Organize team events and team retreats
Process invoices, expense reports, and contracts
Find new offices and coordinate office moves as necessary
Organize and maintain digital filing systems
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant in a high-performing environment (VC-backed start-up, Magic Circle law firm, consulting firm, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and conversational French
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when required
Experience with G.Suite, Calendly, Notion, Slack strongly preferred
Experience working in / with emerging markets a bonus
This is a full-time position with competitive salary, share options, and benefits
We require 3 days a week in the office (near Old Street Station)
Ideal Start date: Dec 2024 (we are aware that a notice period may need to be fulfilled and can adjust accordingly)
