Our interview process is designed to find engineers who align with our values. We focus on relevant skills that mirror the work we do—primarily full-stack development with a strong emphasis on customer-centric features. We aim to assess your ability to build, iterate, and ship quickly while maintaining the quality our customers expect.

We ask every candidate to fill out a basic application which includes a few questions you will answer via recorded audio. This gives you a chance to tell us more about who you are and why you’d be a good fit for Central.
We provide a take home project that allows you to showcase your technical and product skills.
The “onsite” interview, which is mostly done remotely these days, is a comprehensive assessment of your technical abilities, product thinking, and cultural fit. We’ll be looking for your ability to take ownership, your bias towards action, and how well you communicate your ideas.
Each interview is 1 hour long, with 45 minutes dedicated to the technical portion and 15 minutes for Q&A. The process is designed to give you a chance to showcase your skills in a variety of areas, including:
The typical interview process takes 1-2 weeks from start to finish, though we can expedite it if needed. We’re happy to accommodate candidates with competing offers or tight timelines. The more information you can share about your situation, the better we can tailor the process to your needs.
