Founding Software Engineer (Backend)
About the role
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer who can wear many hats while building and architecting new AI products. With us, there is no limit to how much responsibility and cross-functional learning you will have right from growth to operations to even product.
What You Will Do:
You will build and optimize a highly scalable real-time voice AI platform that supports speech processing, conversational AI, and automated call handling for our customer support and teleconsult support systems. The system is built using FastAPI and WebSockets, running in a Kubernetes-based environment with event-driven architecture.
Core Responsibilities:
- Architect and optimize a real-time voice AI platform supporting speech processing and automated call handling using FastAPI, WebSockets, and Kubernetes
- Design scalable voice processing pipelines integrating speech-to-text, response generation, and text-to-speech
- Implement high-performance event-driven architectures for call orchestration
- Manage infrastructure scaling and system observability
Required Skills:
- 4+ years backend engineering experience (Python)
- Expertise in FastAPI, WebSockets, and event-driven systems
- Strong background in async programming and Python concurrency
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployments
- Experience with speech processing and conversational AI
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data solutions
- Performance optimization for high-throughput systems
Preferred Qualifications:
➕ Telephony integration experience for call handling and scheduling.
➕ Background in natural language processing (NLP) and AI-driven assistants
➕ Systems monitoring and observability experience
