Software Engineer

Cobblestone is building the next generational company in real estate software. We're starting by helping institutional landlords reduce fraud, which represents a third of all unpaid rent in the United States. We're backed by a16z and some of the largest names in Real Estate such as Tishman Speyer, owner of Rockefeller Center.

We’re looking for an early engineer to join our team. We work in person in our New York Office (NoMad). We’re looking for someone who is:

A self-starter. The ideal engineer doesn’t just wait for problems to come to them but proactively identifies areas of pain and builds to solve.

Understands tradeoffs. We want to work with someone who knows when to invest in a complete solution and when to ship a quick solution to the problem.

Believes in excellence. Feels good when they ship high quality products and always strives to make products even better.

Introductory Chat

First, we’ll spend 30 minutes just chatting about what you are looking for in a company to ensure your goals are aligned with ours. This chat will be relatively informal.

Technical Phone Screen

We’ll do a one hour Zoom interview where we live code a solution to a problem. We don’t believe in Leetcode. All of our problems are simplified versions of the type of things we actually ship.

On-Site

We’ll invite you down to our New York office (NoMad) to do three more technical interviews as well as a causal lunch with our team. Each of the technical interview will be similar to above.

We’ll be able to give you answer within 2 days of your onsite interview.
