The purpose of Community Phone is to connect people and organizations in local communities by building the most customer-obsessed communications company on the planet.
We built a plug and play, ultra-reliable phone: a physical phone that sits next to cash registers, inside hundreds of Starbucks, or on the desks of business owners. We recently launched Community Phone+, our mobile app, which allows customers to use this same phone number on the go, allows them to message from their business phone number for the first time, and use all the modern benefits of a cloud phone system for the first time on their business phone number. It also supercharges their revenue by allowing calls during peak times to rollover to other employees’ cell phones, automates appointment booking or other post-call processes, and streamlines their internal communications to make their customer support and operations efficient.
As a venture-backed, Y-Combinator graduate, we've evolved from a small team in 2018 to a larger team until COVID killed that business, to 2021 when we launched our current product, to now nearly 80 team members spread across 15 countries. We proudly serve over 25,000 customers and clients, ranging from seniors to small businesses to franchises to military bases to sovereign American Indian nations across the United States. Our compensation range for this position in the United States is 150-180K OTE + equity.
Total compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate. These factors include (but are not limited to) job-related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees, and specific work location.
Community Phone Company YC W19 built a simple cloud phone system for businesses that don't operate a call center.
Our solution lets a business get all modern voice features (re-route if busy, greeting menu and IVR, programmable caller ID, cloud voicemail, etc) on their existing office phone and existing employee cell phones. All employees onboard instantly, no wifi required, no app to download. Businesses should not be missing out on orders because they can only take one call at a time, and they shouldn't need an IT person in order to get a modern business phone system.
