Infrastructure Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to revolutionize our engineering infrastructure and deployment systems. As our first dedicated infrastructure hire, you'll have the opportunity to architect and implement modern DevOps practices from the ground up, dramatically improving our development velocity and system reliability.

Position Overview

Our ideal candidate combines many years of deep DevOps expertise with a strategic mindset, capable of both hands-on implementation and establishing organization-wide best practices. This role is central to our engineering excellence and will responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, deployment pipelines, and monitoring systems that will scale with our rapid growth.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with GCP and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Strong background in modern CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code

• Deep knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Sentry, Datadog) for system health and debugging

• Expertise in automated testing frameworks, particularly Cypress for frontend applications

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell) and automation tools

• Track record of improving system reliability and deployment velocity in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy that accelerates our development lifecycle

• Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and deployment systems that provide deep visibility into application health

• Create and maintain development guidelines that promote code quality and system reliability

• Build automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid, reliable deployments

• Leverage AI and automation tools to optimize development and deployment processes

• Set and track key metrics around deployment frequency, system reliability, and incident response

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern AI tooling for code analysis and test generation

• Background in startup environments and rapid scaling scenarios

• Experience with performance optimization and load testing

• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and high-availability systems
