Automation Product Engineer

Position Overview

Our ideal candidate is obsessed with harnessing advanced artificial intelligence to identify inefficiencies and craft creative, scalable solutions. This role is central to our operational excellence, responsible for building AI-driven tools that serve multiple stakeholders and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions to automate manual processes. Our platform's core value proposition is completing a vehicle sale in minutes rather than hours. Our operations and support teams serve a critical function in each sale, but they cannot scale linearly with our incredible growth. We see AI, optimized internal tools, and leveraging automation as core pillars by which we drive operational efficiency and lightning-fast sales. You'll be the bridge between engineering and operations, acting as the main lever for hitting our operational efficiency KPIs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong track record of building and scaling AI-driven tools and automation systems that balance technical requirements with user needs

• Experience in leveraging and deploying modern AI tools and solutions in production environments

• Expertise in managing multiple stakeholder requirements and delivering solutions that work for both technical and non-technical users

• Experience with our tech stack: React, Node.js, Express.js, NoSQL databases, and Retool

• Demonstrated ability to be scrappy, identify bottlenecks, and design efficient AI-based solutions

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-driven internal tools primarily serving operations and support teams

• Develop creative, scalable AI solutions to automate manual processes using the latest AI technologies and custom tooling

• Work closely with operations teams to identify pain points and implement effective AI-powered solutions

• Create intuitive interfaces and workflows for non-technical users while maintaining robust backend systems

• Stay current with emerging AI tools and technologies, evaluating their potential for addressing our needs

• Monitor and optimize the performance of existing AI solutions
