About the role

As a Product Designer & Manager (UX Focus) at Elayne, you’ll own the entire user experience journey—from concept to delivery—and lead product development to ensure our solutions are impactful and user-centered. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lean, high-impact environment, loves end-to-end product development, and is motivated by creating meaningful and intuitive experiences. If you’re passionate about understanding user needs, crafting impactful visuals, driving product strategy, and building a platform that offers clarity during life’s most challenging times, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Be Working On

End-to-End Product Ownership: Take complete ownership of the product development lifecycle, from ideation, UX research, and wireframes to final design and user acceptance. Work closely with stakeholders to define product requirements, iterate on features, and ensure successful delivery.

Product Strategy and Vision: Use insights from user research, analytics, and stakeholder feedback to shape a clear, focused product roadmap. Help the team prioritize initiatives that deliver the most value to our users and the business.

UX Research and Validation: Conduct in-depth UX research, including user interviews, usability testing, and iterative design processes to translate insights into platform design. Validate product features through prototyping, testing, and collaboration with users.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the engineering and executive teams, contributing to both the strategic vision and finer product details. Work with engineering to ensure that designs are implemented effectively, and iterate on products post-launch based on user feedback and analytics.

Understanding User Analytics: Leverage user analytics to identify key trends and insights. Build and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), using this data to refine and prioritize features that enhance user experience and drive business value.

Inclusive Design Approach: Craft seamless interactions that serve a variety of users, from internal team workflows to external interactions with HR portals, tax, accounting, and legal professionals, and even judges. Your designs will make our platform accessible and intuitive for users of all walks of life, including elderly users and individuals from different cultural backgrounds.

Iterative Product Development: Lead iterative cycles, where features are designed, tested, and refined before launch, ensuring a high-quality experience that meets users' needs. Drive the release process, including creating acceptance criteria, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and iterating based on insights.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • 5+ years of product management, UX design, and research experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing both functional and visual design skills.
  • Experience leading product design through the entire lifecycle, from concept and wireframes to MVP and final release.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product requirements, prioritize features, and lead design sprints.
  • Proficiency in Figma, with a sharp eye for detail, consistency, and impactful visuals.
  • Strong web and mobile design knowledge, with an understanding of best practices and common navigation patterns across platforms.
  • Empathy and curiosity; a passion for user-centered design that makes complex tasks more approachable and compassionate, especially when the end user is in a state of grief.
  • Proficiency with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, MixPanel, or PostHog, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data. Experience in building comprehensive dashboards that effectively track key performance indicators (KPIs) and guide product decisions to enhance user experience.
