Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer who excels in both visual design and front-end development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design principles and be proficient in HTML and CSS, with a working knowledge of JavaScript. This role involves transforming design concepts into responsive, user-friendly web interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design experience for both web and mobile, ensuring a seamless and visually compelling user journey.
• Conduct user interviews to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Create visually stunning, cohesive designs that enhance user experience and maintain brand consistency.
• Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable code using HTML, CSS, and Tailwind.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually improve user experiences.
• Get hands-on with any aspect of the product, from design to implementation, demonstrating a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Who we’re looking for

• 0 → 1 Experience – You have worked at a seed stage startup with less than 10 people, building and shipping products from the ground up, thriving in ambiguous environments where you define your own roadmap and execute quickly.
• Autonomous & Fast-Moving – You can hit the ground running, making high-impact decisions with limited oversight and iterating rapidly in a fast-paced setting.
• Bias for Action – You tackle challenges regardless of size with decisive initiative. When something needs to be done, you immediately take ownership and drive it to completion.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in web design and front-end development.
• Proficient in HTML5 and CSS3.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript and its applications in enhancing user interactions.
• Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design principles.
• Proficient in design tools like Figma.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with front-end frameworks or libraries (e.g., React).
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
