An API for electric vehicles and other energy hardware (DERs)
Do you want to join a fast-growing climate tech startup with real impact?
At Enode, our mission is to accelerate the energy transition 🌍️
A fully renewable energy system is dependent on flexible demand that can adapt to the intermittent supply from wind and solar. To create this flexibility, we need to connect to and control the fast-growing demand coming from electric vehicles, heat pumps and other energy hardware.
This is what we’re doing at Enode. Our APIs power the next generation of green energy apps, reaching more than 60 million consumers worldwide.
We are backed by some of the best climate tech investors in the world, including Y Combinator, Lowercarbon Capital and Creandum. We already have a global presence with customers in 11 countries across Europe, US and APAC.
Yet, we’re still at the start of our journey, and we want exceptional people to join us!

We are looking for a Business Development Representative that can further accelerate our growth. In this role you will be a core part of our small and fast-moving go-to-market team, working on market entry and new business in Europe, the US and other markets where Enode is active. You will:
Find and develop new business opportunities
Perform market analysis, prospecting and outreach to potential clients
Develop relationships with key people at prospective customers within the areas of electric vehicles, demand response, grid management and customer engagement
Development of Enode's go-to-market strategy
You are mission driven and have an urge to fight climate change. You are a problem solver by nature and someone who can adapt to changing circumstances, and hectic startup life. You are a people's person who can engage with customers and understand their needs. You are organized and used to handling a large number of high stakes relationships, and moving them forward.
You should be ready to get your hands dirty and not expect someone else to fix menial tasks for you - you are a builder, motivated to build a potentially generational climate tech business from the ground up. You should be excited about being part of a fast growing company where roles and responsibilities can change fast as we scale. There is no limit to how far you can go and how fast you can grow at Enode.
We are looking for someone with:
1+ years experience in a customer facing role (Startups, Consulting, B2B Sales)
High interest and motivation to build a career in sales
Experience with (or high interest for) renewable energy, utilities, energy management, electric mobility or demand response
Excellent communication skills, oral and written (English)
Organized and independent
Understanding of APIs, B2B sales experience and energy market knowledge is a bonus
A stimulating, fun and caring work environment with high drive and ambition
Opportunity to join an early-stage climate tech startup with global aspirations
Competitive compensation, including a very attractive employee option program
A remote-first setup. We also have an office in Oslo if you want to work from there
Stipend for setting up your home office / co-working space
Regular offsites with the team in various exciting locations (we went to Italy 🇮🇹 earlier this year).
Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
Enode is Plaid for energy. We build APIs that power green energy apps, helping consumers use more renewable energy and stabilize the grid.
Some of the largest and fastest-growing energy companies in the world, like OVO and David Energy, use our API to let consumers connect their EV and other energy hardware (DERs) to their apps and services. This enables valuable use cases like smart EV charging, where you automatically charge your Tesla when the price is low or when your solar roof is producing excess energy. Key to solving the largest problem we are facing right now, climate change.
