Many of us are former or future founders, and this is an opportunity to scale a company from $1M to $10M ARR while partnering with fast-growing tech companies shaping the future of software. What you’ll do
- Manage customer relationships: whether they’re a CTO, VP of Eng, or Software Engineer, you’ll be the face of Fern during the technical evaluation of our product. You’ll develop a strong network within the SaaS startup community, especially among YC founders.
- Own onboarding from start-to-finish: once a company decides to purchase Fern, you’ll lead the onboarding process to ensure they go live successfully. This includes project management (milestones, responsibilities, status updates) and writing code within our customers’ code repositories.
- Educate our users: when customers have questions about the product, you’ll guide them to our docs, tutorials, and examples. If you identify a gap in our documentation, you’ll take ownership by writing the missing content and helping drive product roadmap.
What you’ll bring:
- 0-2+ years of experience, preferably with startup experience
- Technical, needs strong understanding of APIs and SDKs
- Strong proficiency HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Python, and TypeScript
- A customer-first mindset, with engaging with users to ensure we build polished, user-centric products
- (Bonus) Experience working with OpenAPI specifications

About Fern
APIs underpin the internet but are still painful to work with. They are often untyped, unstandardized, and out-of-sync across multiple sources of truth.
Fern enables businesses to offer “Stripe-level” SDKs (client libraries) and Docs for their REST API. Inspired by internal tooling we saw at AWS and Palantir, we’re building Fern to let every engineering team offer easy-to-use and well-documented APIs.
Founded in 2022, we’re less than 20 people, building open source, and backed by YCombinator. We work together in our office in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Our customers include Cohere, ElevenLabs, Webflow, and Merge.dev.
