Growth Engineer

Firecrawl is the easiest way for developers to gather LLM-ready data from the web. As we scale our content engine and accelerate user growth, we’re looking for a creative, fast-moving, and technically sharp Growth Engineer to join our team. This is the perfect role for someone who lives at the intersection of engineering, memes, and momentum—someone who can ship fast, spot trends, and make cool things go viral.

What you’ll do:

• Full-Stack Builds: Create and launch small apps, tools, and demos that capture attention, spark conversation, and drive traffic.
• Trend Spotting: Stay locked into Twitter/X and broader tech culture. Identify new content formats, memes, or opportunities and build around them.
• Content Engineering: Work closely with the team to craft post-worthy technical artifacts—screenshots, mini case studies, and viral demos.
• Launch & Distribution: Ship fast and often across channels like Product Hunt, Reddit, Hacker News, and Twitter.
• Influencer Collab: Coordinate with creators and influencers to distribute content and amplify reach (or just make stuff good enough that they do it anyway).

• Creative Builder: You get joy from making things people talk about. Whether it’s a silly one-day project or a high-polish product, you know how to get attention.
• Tuned Into the Internet: You scroll Twitter with intent. You know what’s working, what’s played out, and where the culture is headed.
• Technical: You’re a full-stack engineer comfortable building solo. Bonus points if you’ve shipped products that got real traction or buzz.
• Self-Directed: You thrive with ambiguity, operate independently, and don’t need a PM to tell you what to do.
• Fast Execution: You prioritize speed over polish when needed and can iterate on a tight loop.

You’ll stand out if you:

• Have previously built or launched a product that went viral (or got decent love online).
• Run a well-followed or highly engaged X/Twitter account.
• Have experience at a fast-moving startup or YC-backed company.
• Have a side project portfolio that showcases your creativity and ambition.
• Are passionate about the intersection of code, content, and distribution.

Here’s what to expect:

• Intro Chat (15 minutes): A quick conversation to hear about your background, what you’re building now, and what excites you about growth + startups.
• Build Challenge (1–2 hours): You’ll work on a lightweight growth-focused prompt—something you’d actually do at Firecrawl. We care more about ideas and scrappiness than perfect code.
• Culture & Collaboration Interview (1 hour): We’ll talk about how you like to work, what inspires you, and how you see yourself pushing our content engine forward.
