Float Health is building the marketplace for specialty pharmacy. Our mission is to make healthcare safer, easier, and more efficient by moving all care that doesn't need a hospital to the home.
Float connects nurses with patients so they can get treatments for their chronic conditions in the home rather than going into the overcrowded hospital. Our model benefits all stakeholders - patients get more convenient care, nurses access flexible work for better pay, pharmacies fill more prescriptions, hospitals reduce low-reimbursement admissions, and payors enjoy 12x reduced costs with home-delivered care.
Having closed our Series A in 2023, we're at an inflection point in our growth. We've successfully facilitated over 35,000 patient visits and are now scaling our platform, team, and operations to serve more geographies and patients.
The Role
As Float's first Account Executive, you’ll lead the charge in signing new Specialty Pharmacy (SP) partnerships across California and Texas, driving Float’s expansion into new markets. You’ll build relationships with SPs, close deals, and create the blueprint for future sales growth.
- Key Objective: Sign 4-5 new SP contracts per month, generating at least $50k GMV from new partnerships monthly
- Travel: Field sales across CA/TX (~25%)
What you’ll do:
- Develop a deep understanding of Float’s value proposition and proven sales strategies
- Identify and prioritize high-value SPs, focusing on those with the greatest potential for growth
- Build strong relationships with SP stakeholders, from clinical teams to business leaders
- Execute field sales activities, including regular in-person meetings with SPs to identify and solve pain points, present Float’s platform, and close contracts
- Innovate and test new sales approaches, continuously refining tactics to maximize results
- Document successful (and unsuccessful) strategies to contribute to a scalable sales playbook
- Attend SP industry conferences and other relevant events to generate leads and build Float’s presence in the market
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate client feedback into Float’s operations and product roadmap
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4-7 years in sales, with a focus on B2B partnerships
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets by 25%+ and managing GMV targets of $150k/quarter
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to optimize outreach and track KPIs
- Willingness to travel frequently within California and Texas (~25%)
Preferred Skills:
- Background in marketplaces, specialty pharmacies, or healthcare startups
- Familiarity with medical/scientific terminology and healthcare platforms
- Experience with consultative selling for high-value partnerships
- Skilled in analyzing data to drive decisions and uncover new opportunities
- Previous exposure to startup environments and distributed teams
Compensation and Structure
- Base Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 (depending on experience)
- OTE: $130,000 - $170,000 with uncapped commission
Location and Schedule
- Location: California or Texas.
- Travel: Domestic travel required (~25%)
- Schedule: Weekdays, PST or CST.
