IT Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for an IT Manager to build and scale our IT operations, ensuring our employees have the tools, access, and security they need to do their best work. We need someone who can take ownership of our IT infrastructure, security, and support processes while driving continuous improvements. You’ll oversee everything from device procurement to security compliance, helping us scale efficiently while keeping our systems secure.

What You Will Work On

• Device Procurement & Management: Manage the procurement, setup, and return of company laptops, peripherals, and other IT assets. Implement policies for lifecycle management and tracking.

• System Access & Identity Management: Ensure employees have appropriate access to tools and systems based on role-based access control (RBAC) principles. Manage onboarding and offboarding IT processes.

• IT Security & MDM Management: Oversee endpoint security, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and security policies to protect company data and assets. Implement best practices for device encryption, monitoring, and patch management.

• SOC 2 & Security Compliance: Support ongoing SOC 2 compliance efforts, ensuring IT systems and practices meet security and privacy requirements. Assist with audits, evidence collection, and policy enforcement.

• Software & SaaS Management: Maintain an inventory of company-wide software licenses and SaaS subscriptions. Optimize usage, costs, and security controls.

• IT Support & Helpdesk: Act as the point of contact for IT support requests, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Establish an efficient ticketing and resolution process.

• Collaboration Tools & IT Infrastructure: Manage collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom) and internal IT infrastructure. Optimize configurations for security, performance, and user experience.

• IT Policies & Training: Develop and enforce IT policies around security, acceptable use, and remote work. Conduct employee training on best practices for security and compliance.

• Incident Response & Disaster Recovery: Define and maintain IT incident response plans. Work with security teams to ensure business continuity in case of outages or breaches.

Who You Are

• 5-8+ years of experience in IT administration or management, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.

• Strong understanding of IT security best practices, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.), and identity management.

• Experience managing MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, Intune) and endpoint security tools.

• Familiarity with SaaS applications, single sign-on (SSO), and identity providers (Okta, Google Workspace, etc.).

• Ability to assess and implement IT policies, security controls, and compliance requirements.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide hands-on IT support.

• Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.

• You are willing to travel quarterly for team summits, which are sometimes international.
