Qualifications

  • Startup Experience: We strongly prefer candidates with prior startup experience. Former founders are especially valued, as their entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving skills align well with our fast-paced environment.
  • Prior Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with a maximum of 8 years.
  • Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 college in India.
  • Backend Skills: Strong background in Python
  • Good-to-Have Skills:
    • Frontend Development: Proficiency in Next.js and React.
    • Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS or Azure.
    • Scalability & Deployment: Familiarity with Docker is a strong plus.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build Product: Quickly ramp up and contribute to our Chat and Voice products, eventually owning your own product or product lines.
  • Technical Leadership: Drive technical decisions and architecture design, shaping the backbone of our solutions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with co-founders and other team members to translate business vision into actionable project plans.
  • Ownership: Take full product ownership, from ideation to launch, including integration into existing systems.

About Giga ML

Giga ML is an applied AI lab focused on building end-to-end customer care agents, co-founded by Varun Vummadi and Esha Manideep. Varun left the Stanford PhD program in AI (2023) and Esha was ranked third at IIT KGP in 2023 to work on Giga ML. We raised $3.7 million in seed funding, led by Nexus, and are part of Y Combinator's S23 Batch. Garry Tan, CEO of YC, personally invested in us.
