Just as Stripe enables businesses to embed a payment button into any product, Gigs enables businesses to add a connect button and issue SIMs with a single click or API call. From fintechs launching mobile services to HRIS platforms offering work phone plans, we automate phone plan provisioning.

We're solving complex technical, operational and regulatory challenges to make connectivity truly effortless. We've grown to a team of around 90 people across the US and Europe, bringing together an experienced team of early-stage engineers, product builders and business athletes from companies like Stripe, Airbnb and Shopify. The Role

This role works with and reports directly to Hermann, Gigs Co-Founder and CEO, and closely liaises with our Chief of Staff to spearhead executive functions and projects across internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Do

We're seeking a dynamic and ambitious Founder's Associate to support Hermann, Co-Founder and CEO, during a pivotal growth phase. You’ll have daily exposure to high-impact projects, company strategy, and cross-functional collaboration on topics all geared towards scaling a Gigs post-Series B.

This role is based in San Francisco and offers a unique opportunity to gain an insider's perspective into scaling a high-growth company while influencing its trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution: Act as an extension of the Hermann’s capacity by coordinating, overseeing, and driving high-impact initiatives and ensuring alignment across teams. Partner with the founder on mission-critical projects, translating company goals into actionable plans across verticals like fintech and HR.
  • Project Management: Independently setup and operationalize mission-critical projects. Monitor and proactively help impact tabs on top-level priority projects run across various teams at Gigs, from scoping and planning to execution and post-mortem analysis.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Liaise with product, connectivity, sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure priorities are communicated and executed efficiently. Build feedback loops to monitor performance and refine systems across the organization.
  • A seamless extension of the CEO: Represent and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO. Independently and proactively gather inputs and preparation for materials for All Hands, communication updates, board meetings, investor updates, and partnership touchpoint with key external stakeholders.
  • Operational Efficiency: Work closely with our operational leaders to resolve inefficiencies processes to improve productivity, alignment, and decision-making within the organization. Pro-actively identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within processes and implement scalable solutions to optimize workflows.
  • Vertical and Industry Insights: While no telecom experience is required, you’ll deep-dive into telecom and tech industry to stay ahead of vertical trends, providing strategic recommendations to maintain our edge in the dynamic Silicon Valley environment. Help shape operational structures and KPIs tailored to specific verticals, ensuring scalability, and independence.

What We Are Looking For

An ambitious, hungry go-getter with relentless energy to put in the work that it takes to build a generational company.

  • Scale-up experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment within a scale-up, startup, or leading tech company. You’ve learned to operate in high-paced, highly ambiguous, and low bureaucracy environments. You have a strong passion for technology, innovation, and startup culture.
    • Bonus: Experience working in startups, particularly in Series B to Series E stages, is highly preferred. 
  • Technical Literacy : You are familiar with APIs, SaaS, or tech-driven business models and don’t shy away from diving into technical details across software products and the telecom industry.
  • Intuitive thinker with high EQ: You know how to read between the lines, pick up on trends and piece together information to build your knowledge and tool set. You know that exceptional problem-solving requires a high degree of EQ and intuition next to a solid business acumen.
  • Highly dynamic team-player: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to navigate all facets of business relationships and networking. From telecom executives to internal skip-levels, you know how to read the room to nail both up-take and buy-in to your message. Navigating and collaborating across seniority and levels of internal and external organizations comes natural to you.
  • Cool, calm, and collected: You’ve experienced fast-paced environments, so you know that it requires staying level-headed, clear, and solutions-oriented under pressure. Deescalating ambiguity in fast-changing environments and finding clarity for the best solution forward are part of your superpower.
