Design Engineer
About the role
Role:
We’re looking for someone to own the design function at GovEagle. This person will be working directly with the CEO & CTO to build a brand identity, solve data-heavy design challenges, and implement UX flows directly into the codebase. We’re looking for someone who can listen to customer pains, design UX flows to solve them, iterate based on customer feedback, and implement designs using React/Typescript.
What you’re signing up for
- Learning and developing an in-depth understanding of GovEagle’s product and industry, becoming an expert in AI/LLM technology
- A fast-paced, in-person culture with daily/weekly customer interactions
- Working closely with customers to understand the need, figuring out how to make them successful, and owning the solutions
- Defining and scoping green-field projects that move the company forward
- Operating in a high-security environment where customer data security and privacy come first. This means limiting external services and building most things in-house.

- Lead the creation and implementation of an exceptional brand identity aligned with our vision.
- Design intuitive and elegant UI/UX
- Work closely with the CEO & CTO, leveraging your front-end development skills in Next.js, TypeScript, and CSS (Tailwind expertise is a plus).
- We're all about our customers - listen to their needs and deliver results quickly! Expect to join weekly office hours with a few customers.
You will be a great fit if you have...
- A proven track record as a Developer and Designer, with a strong portfolio in both UI/UX design and front-end development.
- Proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, and CSS, with a preference for experience in Tailwind.
- A deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Experience in creating and maintaining design systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
