The Role
As an early engineer at Greenlite, you’ll be responsible for the development and scaling of our core agent platform, as well as new products that will be crucial in automating AML workflows.
What to expect
Within days:
- Ship to production on day one.
- Develop and maintain server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
- Implement robust data models and manage databases.
Within weeks:
- Build integration and product infrastructure for LLMs. Provide Greenlite agents with the infrastructure, data sources, and tools they need to automate workflows for financial compliance teams.
- Lead customer calls to gather feedback and refine backend features.
Within months:
- Own customer outcomes and success. Continue shipping value, not just code.
- Lead architectural decisions to scale our services across geographies, tech stacks, and business types.
- Hire, onboard, and nurture future backend teammates.

About You
- Customer curious — You are interested in deeply understanding customer pain points and are motivated to engage with and solve customer problems.
- Experience building, and being part of, fast-growing B2B software products — You’ve worked on some of the world's best teams where you needed to ship fast and often. Bonus if you’ve built fintech or enterprise software products for large customers.
- Entrepreneurial drive — You’re able to work without explicit direction and feel intense ownership over the products you create. As a founding member, you’ll be expected to thrive in ambiguity that comes with an early-stage startup and can get things done without overcomplicating the solution.
- Strong communicator — As an early-stage startup, there will be lots of changes and ambiguity in the beginning. You should be comfortable sharing your feedback early, and often, and you should be comfortable bringing up product ideas frequently.

The problem we're solving
Globally, over $2 trillion dollars worth of money is laundered every year - that's about the size of the Canadian economy. Laundered money is the direct proceeds of some of the most heinous crimes in the world - like human trafficking, child pornography and war profiteering.
Unfortunately, with the tools we have today, we only catch 1% of it. Greenlite brings LLMs to this sector, allowing financial crime teams to investigate more suspicious activity in higher quality ways.
