This is a full-time role as a Founding UI/UX Designer, located onsite in New York, NY.
As the first design hire at Hadrius, you will own the UI/UX protecting our financial markets and will work directly with the founding team to design and build the future of the financial system from the ground floor of a hyper growth startup. As we grow, there are plenty of opportunities for leadership and we pride ourselves on having a hands off culture by having very few meetings while giving everyone a broad scope of responsibility. Work closely with an elite team of engineers from Google, Chime, Microsoft, Zynga, Ivy league universities, and founders with previous exits. You'll be on a team that works incredibly hard and seeks other exceptional people excited to do the same.
Responsibilities
First week:
- Day 1: Revamp user navigation
- Understand the core problems Hadrius solves, our ICP, our value proposition, the Hadrius platform, pricing structure, and roadmap
- Learn the Hadrius way: how we work and build for hyper growth
- Contribute to product discussions in weekly all hands
- There’s plenty of low hanging fruit, so you’ll be expected to propose a first draft for revamping the product UI/UX
First month:
- Design and revamp Hadrius CUJs to blow prospects and customers away
- Standing out on the team in sheer contribution - give engineers a backlog of designs to implement
- Running user studies with current customers to understand their deeper pain points and fixing them
First 3 months & beyond:
- Continuing to develop the above skillset, paying special attention to engineers output and holding them accountable to a high bar (with support from technical leadership).
- Working closely to up-skill a newly hired product manager who understand our space deeply, but lacks context on startups and tech companies
- Playing a major role in influencing the roadmap for our engineering team
About You
- Exceptionally skilled: You are highly competent as a designer, coming from 1,000s of hours of practice.
- Coachable: Open to learning the Hadrius way and raising the bar while you’re at it.
- Grit: You’re consistently the hardest working person on your team.
- All-in: This is not a 9-5. We have a massive opportunity ahead of us and are looking to multiply our engineering speed. We are optimizing for the best folks and are happy to compensate generously.
- Passion for our mission: Genuinely excited about our tech and our mission to end financial crises.
- Team-first mentality: You are interested in building for the long-term alongside founding team members, and committed to mentoring others and being mentored.
- Autonomy: Exercise a high-degree of autonomy and design authority

Hadrius will prevent the next financial crisis. To do this, we’re building the automated back office for financial firms, using AI to analyze millions of data points from emails to text messages, marketing copy, investment accounts, filings, and more to identify regulatory violations.
Today, over 100+ financial institutions managing $400B+ AUM rely on Hadrius to automate their regulatory compliance. We’re the fastest growing company in the space, going from our launch out of the YC W23 batch to $1.5m+ ARR in under 12 months and haven’t slowed down since. We have a world-class team and product competing against legacy software that hasn't innovated in decades.
