AI Engineer - Growth
The Mission
We're building an AI-powered insurance brokerage that's transforming the $900 billion commercial insurance market by automating processes that currently run on pre-internet systems.
We just finished YC and raised $8M seed round from an amazing bench of investors. We're looking for an exceptional AI Engineer focused on Growth who can build our growth infrastructure from the ground up and drive measurable business outcomes.
You'll create systems that turn traditional insurance sales cycles into efficient, data-driven acquisition engines powered by AI agents. This role sits at the critical intersection of engineering, data, and growth—a position to shape how we scale from seed to industry leader. You will work directly with the CEO and CTO to shape our growth strategy and technical roadmap.
Be crazy enough to firmly believe we can hit $100M in run-rate ARR by December.
Outcomes You'll Drive
- Build and optimize our entire growth funnel: lead generation → qualification → conversion → onboarding
- Architect data analytics infrastructure that provides actionable insights across all growth channels
- Design and implement pricing analytics for optimizing customer acquisition costs across paid channels
- Create targeting models for outbound campaigns that identify high-value prospects
- Develop self-service onboarding flows that maximize conversion and minimize friction
- Build seamless handoff points between marketing/sales systems and AI agents that complete the sales journey
- Establish growth experimentation frameworks to continuously optimize conversion rates
- Scale our customer acquisition engine to predictably generate enterprise-quality leads
You're Our Person If
- You've built growth systems at a hypergrowth B2B company (like Ramp, Brex, Stripe, or Rippling)
- You're equally comfortable with TypeScript/Node.js and Python/data engineering
- You ship features daily and think in terms of weekly experiments, not quarterly plans
- You have a data-driven mindset and can trace your work directly to business metrics
- You've implemented modern growth/data stacks from scratch and seen them scale
- You thrive at the intersection of engineering, data, and growth strategy
- You understand the entire customer journey and how to optimize each touchpoint
- You can build systems that intelligently route prospects to the right conversion paths
Hard Requirements
- Strong experience with both TypeScript/Node.js and Python
- Experience with modern data/growth stacks (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Hightouch, or equivalents)
- Experience building and scaling growth systems at B2B companies
- Proven track record of implementing systems that directly improved conversion metrics
- Deep understanding of growth analytics, funnel optimization, and experimentation
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks and architectures
- Must be based in San Francisco and work in-office 5.5 days per week (relocation assistance provided)

What You'll Build in Your First 90 Days
First Month:
- Set up our core data infrastructure (warehouse, transformation, visualization)
- Implement tracking across the entire customer journey
- Build our first attribution model to understand what drives conversions
- Create dashboards that give real-time visibility into funnel performance
Second Month:
- Design and implement our lead scoring system based on conversion probability
- Build integrations between our marketing systems and AI sales agents
- Create our first outbound targeting models for high-value prospect identification
- Implement A/B testing infrastructure for landing pages and onboarding flows
Third Month:
- Develop a self-optimizing budget allocation system for paid acquisition
- Build personalization engines that adapt messaging based on prospect characteristics
- Create autonomous feedback loops where conversion data improves targeting
- Implement a comprehensive experimentation framework for continuous optimization

Join Early Core Team on Path to $100M ARR This Year
Base compensation for this role ranges from $125-220K depending on your experience and impact potential. We offer equity packages ranging from 0.25-1.0%, making you a meaningful owner in what we're building.
We're looking for someone who can take us from 0.1 to 1 in our growth journey—building scalable systems that will power our expansion to $100M ARR this year. You'll work directly with the CEO and CTO to shape our growth strategy and the technical infrastructure that enables it.
We require you to be in San Francisco and work from our office 5.5 days per week. We'll cover relocation costs and believe the best growth teams collaborate intensively in person.
