About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EdTech Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience selling educational technology solutions to K-12 schools and districts across the United States. This role requires a deep understanding of the K-12 educational landscape, a passion for driving educational outcomes through technology, and the ability to travel extensively to meet with clients and prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the K-12 education sector.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in school districts, including superintendents, principals, IT directors, and curriculum coordinators.
- Consultative Selling: Understand the unique needs and challenges of K-12 schools and districts to provide tailored EdTech solutions that drive educational improvement.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing, using CRM tools to track and report on sales activities.
- Presentations and Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to school and district stakeholders, showcasing the value and impact of our EdTech solutions.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring that agreements meet both client needs and company goals.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across the United States to meet with clients, attend conferences, and represent the company at industry events.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the EdTech industry, with a strong focus on the K-12 market.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a history of closing deals in the K-12 space.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the K-12 education system, including the purchasing cycles, budget constraints, and decision-making processes within schools and districts.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
- Self-Motivated: Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and presentation software; familiarity with EdTech products and platforms is a plus.
- Travel: Availability to travel extensively across the U.S. (up to 75% of the time).
