We’re looking for a Lead Support Engineer to take charge of issue resolution, system reliability, and architectural evolution. This role is ideal for a problem-solving leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to integrate AI-driven solutions to optimize our engineering processes.


Responsibilities

Issue Resolution & System Reliability

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex backend issues to ensure a seamless user experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system reliability and quick resolution of production issues.

Architectural Leadership

  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of HomeRoom’s system architecture, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

AI Integration & Automation

  • Research, evaluate, and implement AI tools to enhance documentation, improve code quality, and streamline support processes, including:
    • Automating internal documentation.
    • Refactoring inefficient code.
    • Developing an AI-powered bot for immediate engineering support.
    • Identifying additional AI-driven optimization opportunities.

Operational Collaboration & Feature Development

  • Partner with the operations team to proactively identify and resolve recurring issues, implement monitoring solutions, and develop automated remediation processes.
  • Contribute to the design and development of efficient, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

Tech Stack

Our technology environment includes:

  • Backend: Python, Django, GraphQL, REST APIs.
  • Database: PostgreSQL.
  • Frontend: Vue, Vuetify.
  • Deployment: Vercel, AWS.
  • Mobile: React.

Experience with these technologies is highly valued, as they form the foundation of our development and production environments.

  • Systems Expert: Proven ability to refactor and modernize legacy codebases, manage monitoring and alerting systems, and optimize database schemas and API structures.
  • Efficient Multitasker: Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
