We are seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to design, build, and optimize our data architecture. In this high-impact role, you will drive domain-specific analytical datasets and pipelines, ensuring our teams have access to reliable, actionable insights. You’ll leverage your deep expertise in AWS, Airflow, Python, SQL, and dbt to architect high-quality data solutions while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating cross-functionally to solve complex business challenges.


Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Modeling

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, domain-driven data models.
  • Define and enforce best practices for data architecture and governance.

ETL/ELT Pipeline Management

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS, Airflow, and dbt to ensure seamless data flow and high-quality analytics.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop efficient, scalable SQL queries and Python scripts to power reports and analytics.
  • Support self-service analytics by enabling teams to explore and utilize data effectively.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Implement best practices, automation, and emerging technologies to optimize data workflows.
  • Continuously refine data processes for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data consultancy, or data engineering, with a proven track record of leading technical projects and managing stakeholder expectations.

Technical Skills

  • AWS Expertise: Strong experience with AWS data services for warehousing, ETL/ELT, and scalable architectures.
  • Airflow Proficiency: Hands-on experience orchestrating complex workflows with Apache Airflow.
  • Programming & SQL: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and analytics.
  • dbt Mastery: Expertise in dbt for data transformation and modeling.
  • Data Modeling: Deep understanding of star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling best practices.
  • BI Tools: Experience with Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git and CI/CD for secure, efficient data deployments.

Interpersonal & Leadership Skills

  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to bridge technical expertise with business impact, ensuring data initiatives drive measurable value.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Effective Communicator: Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical thinker with meticulous attention to detail.
