Founding Engineer
About the role
This is a ground floor opportunity to be one of the first engineers at hotglue and shape our trajectory. You will experience what being at a scrappy startup is like. What you'll be doing described below one-day could look radically different the next. You will be empowered to identify opportunities that will help us grow and own it.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our core product features
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and technical specifications
- Architect scalable and maintainable solutions for complex integration challenges
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team
- Drive technical decision-making and help set the direction for our product roadmap
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment
The Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of experience working with modern programming languages like JavaScript/Node.js , Python , etc.
- Proven production experience with a major cloud service provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and orchestration (K8s, EC2, ECS)
- Strong written communication skills and can explain complex technical concepts to non-engineers.
- Have an eye for design and knows what looks good and doesn't.
- Passion and ability to work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and ambiguous environment.
- Can empathize with the challenges of integrations and has interest in developer-focused products.
