Software engineer - Front-end (Next.js) - Contract

Hydra is seeking a front-end JavaScript engineer to work on our Next.js front-end application. This front-end consumes our GraphQL API.

Required experience

• At least 1 year of experience using Next.js.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a frontend engineer.
• Portfolio of completed projects.

Bonus points

• Experience using components libraries like Shadcn.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS.

Location, etc.

• Fully remote.
• Must be able to work within ±3 time zones of US/Central time and be able to have meetings during the US business day.
• Fluent English required - must be able to meet and converse synchronously on a video call

Term

• This is a part-time hourly contract to do tasks as needed. It is not a salaried position. You are encouraged to complete work for other clients.
• You will work as an independent contractor, either via 1099 in the US, or via direct payment if outside the US. If you have done this before, and/or have your own business for this purpose, that is a plus.
