Senior Software Engineer

We're building a trading app that makes it easy to trade any and send any cryptocurrency from your phone.

We're a small team looking to bring on our next team member who is excited about building consumer technology that directly impacts people. We’re growing fast with elite retention metrics working in a fun space!

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a rockstar senior engineer who is excited about shaping an early product, is a hard worker, and team player. You will be working in a fast-paced environment in which you will work on all stages of product development: conception, system design, frontend/backend, polish, data analysis, and maintenance. You will be collaborating with teammates who are also incredibly passionate about building high-quality, design-intuitive, and data-driven consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Ideate with other team members
• Build frontend features within our platform
• Build scalable backend infrastructure to support the above projects
• Analyze product usage data
• Consider everything a ‘work in progress’: constantly polish existing features and iterate on user feedback
• Closely collaborate with cross-functional partners in design and product

Must Haves:

• 4+ years of experience writing production software - strong preference for consumer over B2B
• 2+ years of experience solving complex distributed systems problems and strong understanding of data processing frameworks
• Experience in building scalable and high-performance systems
• North American timezones - ideally NYC based
• Willing to work long hours when needed

Nice to Haves:

• Worked at a hyper-growth startup
• Interest in crypto / fintech
• Spent time in DeFI
• Interested in trading :)

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other quantitative field

1. Intro call

• This stage is a more informal call to get to know more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether it’s a good fit for you.

2. Technical Screen

• Sceen in which you'll be asked basic programming questions, advanced programming questions, and system design questions

3. Behavioral & Product Inteview

• This will be a deeper behavioral interview where we'll get to know you better as well as a product interview to understand how you think through different ideas and UX

4. Sprint - In Person

• This will be a sprint in which we'll see how we work together as a team. If you have other obligations we can adjust this criteria. Ideally this will be in person, however, we understand if remote is the only option

5. Reference Check & Offer

• At this stage we'd ask for a reference check and proceed with an offer!
