At Intrinsic we are building tools for Trust & Safety teams to focus on their core mission of keeping online platforms safe from abuse ranging from spam, scams, misinformation, and hate speech. We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic Product Designer—our first—who is ready to drive our mission forward for safe online platforms. We are looking for someone that is enthusiastic about building excellent user experiences around unstructured data. No two platforms are alike, and as a result Intrinsic needs to support flexible relationships of users, content, and interactions with each other in a way that's intuitive to analysts, moderators, and AI.

In this role, you’ll take groundbreaking experiences from concept to execution, rapidly prototyping and iterating on solutions to identify what works and what is worth building for our users. You'll collaborate closely with engineers in studying customer needs and bridge them into fully-fledge product features. The ideal candidate has a strong intuition for design, excels at creating simple and elegant solutions to complex problems, and pays meticulous attention to detail. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly iterating and refining ideas to achieve the best possible user experience.

This is an in-person position. Our office is located in San Francisco, CA.

What you’ll be working on

• Own the entire design process, from ideation to well-tested, pixel-perfect implementation
• Create product concepts and bring them to life through wireframes, prototypes, and final designs
• Lead the design of both new product features and enhancements to existing ones, ensuring they meet user needs and business goals
• Translate business objectives, user insights and customer feedback into innovative and feasible design solutions
• Apply user-centered design principles to create interfaces that are consistent, functional, and simple
• Collaborate closely with engineers to see your design vision through to implementation
• Contribute design thinking skills to other areas such as marketing, branding, and customer success to create a cohesive and compelling user experience

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional SaaS experience with a proven track record of delivering projects independently end to end
• Experience in working on SaaS products, data visualization, or complex workflow tools
• A passion for understanding customer needs and turning them into elegant and engaging user experiences
• Outstanding product design sensibility and craft – excelling at UX, visual design and interaction
• Self-motivated, independent, adaptable, and can thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX, UI, and visual design
