Job Overview
We are looking for an M&A Operations Manager to join our growing team. The M&A Operations Manager plays a key role in managing the operational aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments. This role involves overseeing due diligence, integration planning, process optimization, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
M&A Execution & Due Diligence:
- Lead the operational execution of M&A transactions, from deal sourcing to post-merger integration.
- Coordinate due diligence processes, working closely with legal, finance, HR, IT, and other relevant teams.
- Analyze financial, operational, and strategic risks associated with potential deals.
- Develop and maintain M&A playbooks, templates, and best practices.
Post-Merger Integration (PMI):
- Design and implement integration plans to align business operations, systems, and teams.
- Track key milestones, KPIs, and synergy targets to measure post-acquisition success.
- Identify risks and proactively mitigate integration challenges.
- Partner with leadership to drive change management and cultural alignment.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between executives, corporate development teams, and acquired companies.
- Facilitate internal and external communications, ensuring transparency throughout the M&A lifecycle.
- Conduct regular status updates and reporting for senior management.
Process Optimization & Strategy:
- Enhance operational efficiencies by refining M&A frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve deal outcomes and integration success.
- Support strategic initiatives that align with the company’s growth and expansion objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in M&A operations, corporate development, management consulting, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, due diligence, and integration planning.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and M&A tools/software.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in working with private equity or investment banking firms.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in M&A transactions.
- Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation Range: USD $13,000 based on location, experience, qualifications, and applicable federal and state minimum wage requirements.

Interview Process
- HR Screen:
The first phase involves an initial screening with HR. During this stage, we will discuss your experience, skills, and alignment with LunaJoy’s values and culture. This step ensures that you meet the basic qualifications and provides an opportunity for you to learn more about the company and the role.
- Second Phase with Hiring Manager:
Candidates who pass the HR screen will move on to an interview with the Hiring Manager. In this phase, we dive deeper into your technical abilities, role-specific competencies, and how you approach challenges. The Hiring Manager will assess your fit within the team and your ability to contribute to LunaJoy’s mission.
- Offer Stage:
After the second phase, successful candidates will move to the offer stage. We will present a formal offer that includes compensation, benefits, and any additional details about the role. This is also your opportunity to ask any final questions before making your decision.
- Onboarding & Training:
Once the offer is accepted, the onboarding process begins. You will be guided through setting up tools, learning about LunaJoy’s systems and workflows, and engaging in any role-specific training. This phase ensures a smooth transition into your new role, setting you up for success from day one.
