Role Overview:

As our Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Metreecs. You will be the first technical hire, working directly with the founding team to build and scale our product. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the tech stack and contribute to the overall success of the company as we enter an exciting growth phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and scaling of our software platform
• Collaborate with the founding team to define the technical roadmap and architecture
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of the platform as we grow
• Mentor future engineering hires as the team expands

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience in full-stack development (JavaScript, React, Python etc.), database ( SQL, MongoDB, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc)
• A passion for startups and the retail industry
• Ability to work autonomously and make key technical decisions
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
