Founding Engineer (Fullstack / AI)

We’re looking to bring on Onlook’s first Founding Engineer. You’re a full-stack engineer with experience in AI who is ready to build a generational design-led company.

This role requires autonomy – you’ll lay the foundation for an uncompromising open-source visual IDE that engineers and designers around the world love, and help craft our AI.

The most important things we look for:

• Freak-level obsession – you have mastered your craft from a place of passion.
• Initiative – you are proactive and willing to go the extra mile to deliver the best experience for users.
• Speed – you’re comfortable shipping an early v0 as fast as possible, then following with a refined v1.

Ideally, you:

• Terrify us with the depth of your knowledge and expertise.
• Have experience building in AI / Design / Developer / Website tools.
• Understand browsers and the DOM.
• Have experience working at startups and are comfortable with the long and fulfilling journey.
• Are willing and ready to help define the culture of our team.
• Care a lot about design.
