Founding Full Stack Engineer - Backend focused (US-Remote)

What you will work on

• Architect and ship production-ready features from the ground up for our identity security and observability platform.
• Work closely with the founding team to lead and own initiatives on the backend, but sometimes your time might be split between the backend, frontend, and infra tasks.
• Provide technical support, customer success assistance, and implementation guidance directly to our customers during and after pilots.

Who you are

• 6+ years of experience in full-stack software development focused on building B2B platforms using Nodejs, MongoDB, and JS. We use a VENM stack here (Vue, Express, Node, and MongoDB).
• You have a start-up mentality and are a self-starter and hustler—through and through. You understand that shipping a feature early and learning from the result is more important than perfecting it.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly learning and adapting to new challenges. I.E., there is no sugar coating it: we’re here to build a fantastic product that people love, which means the willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in when the team needs help.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to commit to decisions despite disagreements. We tend to work async, so being crystal clear about requirements, deliverables, and other forms of communication is critical. We use tools like Slack, Linear, Notion, and others.
• Writing documentation is an expected part of this role. Documentation is a critical part of communication within an async working environment. Nobody says, “I’m glad there is no documentation on what this code does or how it works.”
• Experience working with external APIs, especially around SaaS and Cloud services.

Bonus skills

• Experience with Cloud integrations.
• Experience working in infrastructure, cyber security, and observability is a huge plus.
• Knowledge about identity and access management is a huge plus.
• Experience working with Generative AI is a plus.
• Security knowledge is nice to have.
