About Overview
Overview is an AI-powered QC camera company transforming manufacturing quality and automation and is a leader in AI for industrial applications. We grew 4x this year and are looking for capable individuals to help us scale our efforts. With a small team of 35, this is a chance to join early and take on meaningful responsibility.
The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Special Projects to work directly with our CEO (an early Tesla leader) to drive new company initiatives. This person will be expected to lead tip-of-the-spear strategic projects, execute on operational projects, and act as stand-in for our leadership team in critical meetings as needed. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to gain broad experience in a growing company. Note this role may require up to 30% travel including travel to Asia and Europe. Based in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
• Work with the CEO and leadership team to execute key initiatives.
• Manage and drive strategic projects across teams - including international expansion.
• Identify and solve operational bottlenecks.
• Improve internal processes and be empowered to make decisions.
Qualifications
• 5+ years work experience in consulting, finance, or an operational role at a growing company (MBA from a top school preferred)
• Strong business judgment, analytical skills, and ability to execute.
• Self-starter comfortable working across teams and handling ambiguity.
• Experience in China and Mandarin proficiency are a plus but not required.

About Overview
Overview is a company that takes the cutting edge in computer vision and deep learning and applies it to previously unsolvable manufacturing inspection problems. We are truly a full stack company. We install physical cameras into the facility, run inference on the edge and manage massive deployments. Overview also streams gigabytes of video/image data to the cloud for our web platform to give customers advanced insights and analytics.
We are looking for engineers who like to solve tough challenges across the stack. This might include wrangling 500mb images or deploying optimized models in one click that can handle 10 parts a second. We are looking for people who are dynamic, who are excited to work on a different challenge every week, whether it's the final inspection on a medical device or making sure a razor blade has a perfect edge.
