80% of clean energy projects that developers start never actually get built because most projects are started without deep due diligence on zoning and interconnection due to the cost of collecting that data. This means $17B worth of canceled projects per year.

Our Solution

Paces is software for green infrastructure developers to identify the best places to build and manage their projects. First we collect environmental, permitting, zoning, energy grid data from various different sources; then we analyze the data and use AI to identify the best places for developers to build their next projects.

We are looking for an Associate Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team, reporting to the Head of Customer Success. This role is a unique opportunity to bridge renewable energy development experience with cutting-edge software and product development.

🏆 What You’ll Achieve

• Accelerate service delivery by supporting Solutions Engineers with data research, management, and analysis.
• Perform deep research to identify and validate the key requirements for data center and solar development.
• Develop expertise in project criteria and site selection methodologies.
• Aggregate, clean, and upload datasets related to market potential, permitting, environmental risks, and interconnection constraints.
• Advocate for both internal and customer needs by documenting and escalating recurring technical challenges to influence product improvements.
• Manage internal projects and cross-functional workflows that enhance our service delivery and platform capabilities.

📈 Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in renewable energy development, software development, or solutions engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data processing, scripting, or automation (Python, SQL, GIS, Excel, or similar).
• Experience coordinating and executing internal projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate technical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• $65,000 annual compensation
