About the role

We are looking for an Elixir wizard ready to help build a FinTech unicorn and change the lives of underbanked Americans. We just wrapped up a Series A less than one year after our seed round and need to hire engineers that will help us make our products easy to use and beautiful, we will launch a rebrand with our new product in early 2023.

PingLend allows almost anyone to get a credit card regardless of their credit score by collateralizing assets such as gold, jewelry, watches, handbags, etc. This allows PingLend's users to build their credit and qualify for previously unobtainable financial products. Soon we will expand to every type of collateral.

We are building a platform that can handle hundreds of thousands of cards, applicants, and every type of collateral. We need brilliant people to join our team to continue shipping product fast. We need to move fast to get the cards on the street.

The first goal you will be working on is to drive the development of our backend. You will be working with a highly skilled team based in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a highly efficient and fault-tolerant platform -Work with front-end team to design and implement practical and scalable API's
    -Take ownership of the backend as much as possible -Build tests for everything. We love and are obsessed with tests!

Requirements: -Minimum of 5 years of building highly complex distributed systems -Minimum of 3 years + of functional programming experience with a minimum of 1 year of Elixir experience -Can-do attitude with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get the job done -A bar raiser with a track record of achieving within a highly collaborative team environment -Passion for clean easy to debug and highly extendable code
