About the role
We need someone to edit 3 main styles of videos:
1. Talking head credit card videos (like this: https://youtube.com/watch?v=uVbEIexd744)
2. Mini-documentaries on interesting business stories (like this: https://youtube.com/watch?v=0qJKFJoWKvQ&t=141s)
3. Fun videos where we do cool things (like this: https://youtube.com/watch?v=7enLB7L4BFQ&t=3s)
We'll also be making short form content to be posted across several platforms.
We'll be providing most of the footage, but we expect you to find B-roll and stock footage.
We're looking to hire someone on a part-time/contract basis to edit up to 1 long form YouTube video per week for us, and possibly a couple shorts each day too.
We're hiring because we want to upgrade the quality of our content, so only apply if you're confident in your ability to deliver quality on par with the sample videos above.
Because this is a remote position, excellent communication is a must.
That being said, if we work well together and you're passionate about Pointwise, there's potential for equity and for the position to eventually become full-time.

Our interview process is designed to find these kinds of editors. Moreover, we try to ask questions that are relevant to the types of content we publish -- a mix of long and short form content designed to resonate with large audiences and go viral.

Work Review
For the first step in our process, you’ll submit at least 1 sample of a long-form YouTube video you’ve recently edited. Make sure whatever you submit highlights most, if not all, of your abilities as an editor.
Founder Chat
If we’re impressed with the video sample you submitted, Ken will invite you to a quick chat over Zoom.
And that’s it! We’ll talk about next steps on the Zoom chat.
About Pointwise
