About the role

Become the second AE at Pylon.

We're a startup backed by a16z (Series A), General Catalyst (Seed), and Y Combinator (Pre-Seed), building the next-generation customer support platform.

We replace products like Salesforce Service Cloud ($8.3B/yr) and Zendesk ($1.3B/yr).

Two months ago we onboarded our first AE and they've been crushing it.

Our pipeline can now support multiple more AEs.

Majority of our pipeline is coming inbound.

You will start by selling mostly high volume deals to early-stage B2B companies (< 500 employees) in tech, though the number of industries and company-sizes that we can sell to is growing quickly as our product matures and expands to eat away at the broader support system market.

About Us

  • Full team is 15 people, majority engineering
  • GTM team is 1 founder, 1 AE, 1 growth marketer. Also hiring a Field Marketer
  • Located in-person in San Francisco (690 5th st)
  • Raised $20M from a16z, General Catalyst, Y Combinator

Current Sales Process

  • Prospect comes inbound and books a demo
  • First sales call
  • Open up a shared Slack channel at the end of the call if they are qualified
  • Help the prospect onboard and run a 1-2 week trial
  • Negotiate and close

Requirements

  • 2+ years sales experience
  • Have sold products priced in the $5-20k/yr range
  • Located in the SF and willing to commute to the office
  • You have sold SaaS

Nice to Haves

  • You have sold to tech companies
  • You have sold to customer support or success personas
