In this role, you will be responsible for improving our optimization strategies, our price forecasting models, and adapting them to prospective projects so we know how much to offer in terms of rent. Good ideas are not guaranteed to translate into improvements, so it is important to communicate your hypotheses clearly and document your results carefully.
These systems require us to collect data from various sources and run models live, so you will be required to write production-ready code that interfaces with often unreliable data sources. I.e. There is a significant Software Engineering component in addition to the Research component.
Rewbi rents and optimizes battery facilities - ones large enough to power thousands of homes. The easiest revenue stream to understand is to charge (buy) when electricity is cheap and discharge (sell) when electricity is expensive. But there are a lot of other services a battery can provide (such as selling the grid operator the option to discharge your battery if the frequency of the grid drops below 60Hz) and our role is to decide how the battery can be most beneficial - and profitable!
