About the role
Skills: Python, AWS, REST, Data Analysis, (no frontend required)
Apply if you are:
- A generalist comfortable getting projects from 0 to 1
- Interested in learning about the intricacies of how our power grids are regulated and writing software to interface with them (and stabilize them).
- (bonus) Familiar with ML engineering (training, deployment, features, evaluation, etc.)
In this role, you will help productionize (and potentially own) our battery optimization software and create prototypes for prospective opportunities. You can’t get closer to the business logic than that because these projects inform how the battery runs and how much we are willing to pay (in rent) for new batteries!
About the interview
- (15-30min) Virtual coffee chat
- (45min) Online technical assessment. May be waived if you have enough recent GitHub contributions we can look through.
- (~4 hr total) If that goes well, we’ll invite you onsite. We’ll do a couple technical and/or math problems and talk about how you could fit into Rewbi.
About Rewbi
Rewbi rents and optimizes battery facilities - ones large enough to power thousands of homes. The easiest revenue stream to understand is to charge (buy) when electricity is cheap and discharge (sell) when electricity is expensive. But there are a lot of other services a battery can provide (such as selling the grid operator the option to discharge your battery if the frequency of the grid drops below 60Hz) and our role is to decide how the battery can be most beneficial - and profitable!
