About the role

Project Manager

Sandbox Banking is seeking an exceptional Project Manager to reshape how innovative software integrates within the financial services industry. As a rapidly growing company backed by Y Combinator (W17), we empower financial institutions and fintech vendors with our Glyue application, enabling them to quickly and safely build integrations with banking systems.

We’re a remote-first team with employees across the continental U.S., offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and impactful environment.

Why Work at Sandbox?

  • Join a small team where your impact will be meaningful, and your ideas will help shape our success.

  • Work with a rapidly growing client base of over 100 banks and credit unions.

  • Collaborate with smart, curious teammates who are driven to succeed, ensuring continuous learning and growth.

  • Be part of a company with prestigious investors, strong revenue growth, and a culture of innovation.

  • Enjoy flexibility as part of a remote-first organization, with all employees living in the U.S.

    What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Pre-Project Planning: Coordinate pre-project discovery activities, including onboarding, scoping, and ensuring prerequisites (e.g., core connectivity) are in place for a successful implementation.
  • Project Delivery: Manage day-to-day delivery of multiple integration projects, balancing customer needs with internal resource constraints to ensure timelines, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams while effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to scale operations, increase efficiency, and improve customer experiences.
  • Risk Mitigation: Anticipate and address risks proactively, creating contingency plans and resolving issues to keep projects on track.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fintech partners (e.g., Five9, nCino) to align on integration requirements, address challenges, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Post-Implementation Support: Facilitate post-implementation handoffs and provide guidance to ensure successful adoption of integrated solutions.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Define, track, and analyze project performance metrics, using data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Who Will Love This Job

  • You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • You’re curious and love solving problems.
  • You’re a great communicator who can explain technical processes to non-technical audiences.
  • You excel at multitasking, anticipating risks, and staying organized.
  • You’re motivated to bring best practices to a growing organization and contribute to its success.

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand their technical challenges within a banking context.
  • Experience managing multiple clients, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, mitigate risks, and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite or MS Office applications; familiarity with modern project management tools like Jira, Smartsheets, or MS Project.
  • A proven ability to solve complex problems and deliver software projects successfully.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
