We’re creating a dedicated position at SciPhi to drive DeepSeek-R1-style breakthroughs in advanced search and retrieval. Our open-source R2R platform already integrates file ingestion, vector search, graph construction, and cutting-edge retrieval flows—but there’s more to be done. We’re looking for someone who can help us build an autonomous agent that truly reasons across massive knowledge bases, pushing the boundaries of AI innovation in the process.

What You’ll Do

1. Prototype Next-Generation Reasoning
   Combine ideas from R1 and tools like Claude/Gemini/4o to explore and interpret millions of documents in novel ways.
2. Optimize & Scale
   Turn promising prototypes into efficient, smaller models suitable for real-world deployment—while retaining the core breakthroughs that make them stand out.
3. Shape the Future of R2R
   After validating performance gains, guide us toward building our next-gen AI retrieval system, ensuring your advances are woven into R2R’s foundations.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong AI Research Background
  Ideally Ph.D.-level experience or equivalent in AI, ML, or related fields. Experience in reasoning, retrieval, and large language models is a huge plus.
• Experimental & Curious Mindset
  You love exploring new approaches, iterating quickly, and making data-driven decisions.
• Passion for Real-World Impact
  Beyond research, you’re motivated to see groundbreaking ideas deployed at scale—and you enjoy collaborating to make it happen.
